The guesthouse offered affordable rates, making it a great value for money. The room had a cozy and comfortable bed, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The location, although a bit out of the way, provided a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views of the surroundings. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the guesthouse even offered a morning bus service for guests, which was a convenient bonus.
The distance from the city center, requiring a 20-minute walk. there were limited parking spaces available for guests.

Helpful staff, pick-up service for late arrival, assistance with transportation. Satisfied with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, effective heating, and nearby parking. English-speaking manager provided excellent communication and warm welcome. Convenient access to Hida Folk Openair Museum, train station, and city center. Lovely surrounding views, highly recommended.

Terrific view from our room! Clean and fresh mountain air, stylized rooms, scent of Japanese wood... Vendering machines, coin laundry and dryer, bicycles rent. Close to the Hide village. It was the best hostel in my trip over Japan.
No air condition, but of the mountains fresh, there is no need of this.

Kitchen and other facilities to help travellers. Cheap ticket to a luxorious onsen spa in another hotel (2 km away).
No air conditioning. In hot summer weather (+35 c) night was difficult. Fan helped a little. Room very basic. (Budget hotel.)

I had a fantastic stay at Sakura Guest House! The rooms were cozy with beautiful views of the city. The guesthouse was well-equipped with a big kitchen and a terrace. The staff was friendly and provided helpful information about the surrounding area. I especially loved the close proximity to the Hida Folk Village, a must-visit attraction. I highly recommend Sakura Guest House for a comfortable and nature-filled stay.

This guesthouse gives a feeling of staying in the country of Japan, where large hotels are the same wherever in the world they are. All facilities are new and very clean. A log burning stove in the large kitchen / living space. The beds have beautiful thick fluffy duvets (we stayed in the Autumn.) Peaceful location out of the main town, although a long walk, unless you use the buses.
It would be nice to have hand towels or driers provided by the wash hand basins to dry hands after visiting the toilet, as there are no en-suite facilities.

The bathrooms are new. The area was very quiet and the staff was very friendly and helped us a lot with the weather forecast. The owner even gave us some tomatoes from his garden!
The mattress was very uncomfortable.
